This is the General Chat, where you can talk about anything. Be it about the RP or some unrelated thing. If there's something specific you'd like to talk about, you can always create your own thread. For the purposes of convenience, however, the General Chat is here so you don't necessarily have to. So go ahead and chat away! We aren't an anti-social bunch here, and we don't bite.

While we're not entirely open to the public, I'd still like to wish a happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day where we give thanks, eat copious amounts of food, and likely regret it later. Have a fun, exciting day with your families!
And don't forget to give thanks for all you have. Anyway, happy "gobble-gobble" day as my girlfriend aptly puts it!
Sincerely,
Durant

Hey guys, nice to see Halo RPs haven't gone out of fashion. Name's Alex, I've played a lot of RPs before, mostly stuff like zombie survival, Star Wars, Halo, even did a Quake project one time with Ward, or Durant as he is known here. Might've done a Helljumpers thing as well but my memory's hazy on that one.
Anyway, I'm real excited to be here, hopefully we can get this thing kickstarted hard inside a few months.

Welcome aboard!
Fenris is also from the Quake project. Gunny Bruhn, if you remember him. He's been around for a long time, including the Halo: The Helljumpers RPG I made awhile back. He's a great role-player and develops some very interesting characters.
My only worry with this being a Halo RPG is recruiting. Halo isn't very popular for an RP, and the ones out there aren't really that good. There's a handful of notable ones, bit they're few and far between. And sustaining the membership. Activity tends to end up being a problem in the long run. But, we'll work through ot.
I'm really glad you're here, and appreciate you registering.

Thanks again man.
Yeah, I'm familiar with Bruhn's work I think, from Status Outbreak and Helljumpers, and Fenris I can't say I remember them. Ah, activity is always an issue for the vast majority of RP sites. Agreed on the popularity aspect, but I reckon with some careful advertising we should be able to get enough fans on-board.

Helios, what were your characters on either Status Outbreak and/or Helljumpers if I may inquire?

My real name is Krimensky, but others call me Krenshaw; either/or is fine. My life goals include owning my own dacha and having my beets delivered to me. Looking forward to working here.

I will have a Curvy post up tomorrow hopefully. We will be moving forward.
Mason, can I get an estimation on when you will be finished with your app? I don't want you to have a lot to catch up with. I know it can suck playing catch up. I'd prefer it if you PM'd myself and Cruz what you have so far.
Anywho, what's up, guys?

Roger that. How assume I'm going to be reading a book lol. Which is by no means a bad thing.
Also, I plan to have a Furby post up soon. So, things will be moving forward today in the RP. I'm not sure whether or not the thread will be locked afterward and the next thread will be up or if they'll be room to post some more. You guys'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. I could put it to a vote. If you guys wanna post in the thread that's up after my GM post on this account, then I'll leave it open. Though, consider the facts.
Mostly everyone will simply be heading down to B-Deck to get their PPE on (Personal Protective Equipment; armor). Then you'll be heading down to the Hangar Deck to hit up the armory and then the hangar bay. That said, you'd only be able to really say that your character is leaving the briefing room and on the way back to the elevator or the nearest ladderwell (stairs) down to B-Deck. You can of course post listening to everyone's questions and the answers, plus whatever content will be in the GM post, but essentially all you'll be posting is your leaving point A to go to points B and C.
The only people that will have a lot to post about will be myself, Killinger, and Cruz. Cruz did just stand up and walk onto the stage without permission, during a briefing, which is a huge taboo. I'm sure Major Killinger wouldn't be too happy with that. Neither will the ONI guy, but I expect no one'll say anything until the briefing is concluded. My idea is for Durant to go speak to the Company Commander with Cruz in the passageway before heading down to B-Deck to ask him some questions. Killinger would likely wanna be present for that, considering the nature of the questions that will be asked, and to say something to the Gunny.
So, with all that said, it's ultimately up to you. Do you guys wanna be able to post after the GM post or do you just want me to lock the thread after it and open up the next thread?
