VZG7 Combat Boots IntroductionThe VZG7 armored boots are standard issue combat boots for UNSC Marines, worn as a part of the Marine BDU. The boot is protective, lightweight, nearly liquid-proof, and is generally comfortable. The VZG7 boots have been in use for most of the Human-Covenant War. DescriptionThe VZG7 boots are standard lace-up combat boots covered in varying types of detachable armor. Each boot, with armor plating, weighs about 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg). The armor attached to the VZG7 boots covers the upper part of the shin from all sides. The boot itself is covered in lighter armor plating. Additional armor plating can be attached to the boots via straps. The boots are almost entirely waterproof, designed with moisture wicking material to keep the boot and the wearer's feet dry. User NotesThe VZG7 boots are comfortable and durable, meant to withstand even the harshest terrain. Armor segments can be attached to the boot-top to increase the level of protection to the wearer's shin and knees. The boots themselves are armored, and additional armor can be attached to further protect one's feet from injury in combat. The boot is issued in two colors. Matte black and desert tan. The black variant is worn with all variants of the M52B armor aside from the desert version.
