1. SITUATION
a. Enemy Situation.
(1) Mixed races with excellent morale, we believe this to be the full invasion force for this planet.
(2) The enemy has attacked and conquered most of the city. They are currently attacking the last remaining UNSC stronghold.
(3) Full planetary assault capabilities, complete with armor and minimal air support.
(4) The Covenant forces are currently trying to assault all five bridges, and send in dropships of elite soldiers to disrupt supplies and create two fronts of fighting. Expect typical engagement styles from all races, and overwhelming force to be applied at critical areas, especially the bridges.
b. Friendly Situation.
(1) Our mission is to stop and then counter attack the enemy, driving them from the planet. Phase 1 will consist of reinforcing and assisting all planetary Army positions.
(2) A company of Marines from 2nd Bn will come down to provide security for the planetside HQ elements.
(3) 18th Armored will be deploying planetside to prepare for the counterattack.
(4) 1st Force Recon will be to our front, gathering and relaying intel and HVTs as found.
(5) A Battery will be deploying planetside at indicated coordinates to set up firing positions.
(6) D-Co, 3rd STB will be held in reserve for emergency deployment or for aid during the counterattack.
(7) 27 CSB will be at the designated location alongside HQ elements to provide and coordinate needed support.
c. Attachments and Detachments.
(1) Elements of E-Co, 91st CEB will be attached at the platoon level.
(2) 27 CSB will provide corpsmen on a platoon level.
(3) Once A-Batt is in position, FOs will be attached at the platoon-level.
2. MISSION
At 1300 hours, planetary ZULU Time, 1-BATT, 12 Marines will deploy planetside to designated company AOs to bolster planetary Army defenses in preparation for UNSC counterattack. FRAGOs to follow as needed with information on counterattack.
3. EXECUTION
a. Concept of the Operation.
Upon departure from the Vengeance, 1-Batt will land in Army controlled territory and designated LZs as close to their AO as possible. Companies will be responsible for rendezvous, deployment, and execution of individual missions and responsibilities.
(1) Maneuver.
M-Co will land and occupy the river along grids 10T 5652 and 5653. They are responsible for the two bridges in their AO (marked 4 and 5 on the layover).
N-Co will land and occupy the river along grids 10T 5753 and 5853. They are responsible for the two bridges in their AO (marked 2 and 3 on the layover).
O-Co will land and occupy the river along grid 10T 5854. They are responsible for the bridge in their AO (marked 1 on the layover). In addition, they will be allocated a Pelican transport to respond to and engage any drop-ship landing attempts made.
(2) Fires.
Once A-BATT is in place, and the FOs have been attached to their respective units, priority of fire will be as follows:
- HVTs, as called in by Force Recon.
- Any fire mission from Force Recon.
- Urgent Fire missions along the river.
- Normal fire missions along the river.
- Illumination missions.
(3) Engineering.
Engineering will be attached before departure from the Vengeance and will be responsible for barrier removal and hasty defenses as the companies see fit to deploy.

4. SERVICE SUPPORT
This paragraph provides the critical logistical information required to sustain the unit during the operation.
a. General.
All logistics will be initiated from the Vengeance. Once a proper HQ has been set up and sustained, logistics will be handed off to 27-CSB for all coordination.
b. Material and Services.
All classes will be handled by 27 CSB. Contact through HQ channels.
c. Casualty Evacuation.
CASH will be located at HQ element. Exact location to be given as needed.
d. Miscellaneous.

5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL
a. Command.
If Lieutenant Colonel Harrison is incapacitated, command falls to Major Killinger. Command chain as follows: Capt. Flannigan (O-Co), Capt. Marret (M-Co), and Capt. Alexander (N-Co). Chain of command at Co. level to be outlined in Co. level OpOrd.
b. Signal.
