Before we can proceed forward with our plans to venture forth, it is necessary for the Staff to possess an accurate headcount of who is still present amongst us. As Flannigan (Davis) said in the PM, we plan to continue expanding upon the story of Oscar Company and thus we need you; the fantastic writers that have made this role-play in game so fun, diverse, and successful in the past.
We've been around a good while - almost two years if you can believe that - and I don't want us to fade off quietly into the night, never to be seen or heard from again. I have come to know some of you quite well, and the talents that each of you bring to the table, and the stories you tell are superb. Oscar Company is more than just an action flick about killing hordes of twisted aliens. It is a collective story about a rather large group, and you make up the bulk of that group.
The story we tell cannot be told anywhere else. No other site offers what we do, and the Staff (as well as myself) feel that it would be a terrible shame for that to die out so abruptly. I do not have any delusions of grandeur here nor am I ignorant of the fact it will take us some time to get back on our feet, but I feel we can start taking the required baby steps that will soon get us walking again. We charged headfirst into the breach and I see no reason why we cannot do if again.
Some changes shall be occurring over the course of the next few weeks. Nothing drastic and it should not directly affect the lot of you, but changes will be made. Those changes will mostly surround the current Administration, as we have been the first to suffer from the throes of inactivity, and that is absolutely unacceptable and unfair to you, the player, whom we ask to remain active when even some of our own cannot. That will change, I assure you. I am already hard at work on that issue as we speak.
So, enough of my blabbering; I need a headcount of all that are here. You need not say anything fancy should you not care to. A simple "here" will suffice. After posting here, if you wish to communicate with one another whilst waiting on the RP to move forward once more, I urge all of you to start chatting in the General Chat thread or our nifty little chatbox.
