BR55 Battle Rifle Weapon Overview: Range: Medium to Long range [950 Meters] Accuracy: High [2x zoom Trijicon-ACOG] Power: High [9.5x40mm M634 Experimental High-Powered Semi-Armor-Piercing] Rate of Fire: Moderate [Semi-Automatic, 2.4 Bursts Per Second] Ammunition: Moderate [36 Rounds] Description: The BR55 is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, mid-to-long range weapon capable of semi-automatic and burst-firing modes. Prototypes of the Battle Rifle were used in 2525 at Harvest, but it entered active service in 2524. The weapon is capable of semi-automatic, single-shot fire, but most troops prefer the three-round burst fire. Featuring heavy accuracy, three-round burst fire, a thirty six round magazine, and a 2x zoom scope, this weapon is a favorite among many soldiers. User Notes: The BR55 is a very versatile weapon. Though often thought of as a burst-fire weapon, it does have single-shot capabilities as well, though not fully automatic ones. Its ammunition is particularly large rounds, which deal decidedly more damage than the MA5B's 7.62. Its 2x-zoom also makes it a more accurate and deadly weapon over a range than the MA5B, though not as much an asset in close quarters.
