Ay... i guess it is my turn.  Hello everybody... i am Onyx and i go by that name on the rp sites that i am on.  I am 68 years old gal, originally from Spain. I have been around the world A LOT and seen a LOT of things. Also since i am not natine English, i still mess up or mix words/letters up when i am writing. Sorry about that in advance. I like RP sites to relax and have some more fun. i like HALO and have been reading into it, i am on a number of different rp sites (MARVEL, DC, others... and now HALO! ) I also really like Sci Fi and Fantasy related things I would like to thank you guys for your service Not just in the US, but to everybody who served or serves in the proper military of ALL countries. I never served in the armed forces. I am ashamed of that actually, and would change it if i could. I know that was not really useful info but i can not decide what else to write here... without rambling on and on... so if you are interested, have questions, whant to know more, ect... ask away. |

Probably should have gotten to this earlier but I may as well get it done now. Feel free to call me Martin, I've been rping on and off for a little while now usually under different names. I absolutely love role plays that focus on the underdogs instead of eight feet tall superweapon. No offense to the Master Chief. Anyway, I got my DD-214 a little over a year ago and have been living off the GI Bill ever since.
Before that lovely moment I was a Sergeant in the Army trying to teach other 35F's how not to be terrible at everything. Anyway, its great to see so many prior military running around here, I didn't realize we were so fond of text based rps.

Glad to have you here, Martin. I unfortunately cannot place myself in the prior-service category, but I shall soon be Marine bound. I'm actually thoroughly impressed with the number of veterans we've accumulated over the years, as well as the civvies like myself whom have taken to this RP. Honestly, when I first started it, I was worried that it would garner very little interest. I'm proud to say those worries have been assuaged long ago.
I too prefer RPs where you aren't playing supermen but regular Joe's. My intention was to make this RP a gritty and realistic telling of what the daily life of the average Halo grunt is like. We see them in the games, of course, but they often go ignored for obvious reasons. Plus, it's cool to play a future Marine with all the fancy schmancy tech they are afforded that we, in the modern day, could only dream of having. Makes things interesting when instead of having to pull out a compass to get your bearings, you have one already on your HUD that you can reference at all times. Stuff like that is just pretty darn cool if you ask me lol.
And you'll be happy to know 99.9 percent of the vets here hailed from the U.S. Army as well. It's really weird interesting, actually. It actually makes me chuckle sometimes that all of you secretly want to be Marines.

And don't worry, Flannigan will probably smack me later.
Anyway, again, welcome aboard and thank you for your service, Martin. As always I'm happy to see new people and cannot wait to see what stories turn up on account of your characters. You people add more layers to the onion that is our story here.

Welcome Cores. I see you found us from Yappas. Glad to have you aboard. We're working on starting our newest mission and hope to find you a good spot on a team. We're starting to run low on people playing team leaders though, so please bear with us while we try and find you a spot.

Hello, everyone! Remnant here. I come from The Halo Community RPG, I've been roleplaying since at least 2012 (Coming up on my tenth anniversary of forum roleplay!) and I'm interested in creating a character on this site and participating. I used to browse this site when it was young and had put up an ad on our forum, but I never caught enough interest in roleplaying UNSC characters until I joined the military (US Army). Now I *love* roleplaying Marines and military personnel in general. Hope to become an asset to the site and I can't wait to start roleplaying with y'all!
